Lifetime Hockey's instructors are carefully chosen by Tom Bast from throughout Canada. All have worked with Tom at his Red Deer, Alberta Hockey Schools.

Tom Bast - Head Coach
As a coach Tom has led or been an instructor:
- Tom Bast Minor Hockey School (5-12 years of age), Red Deer, AB 1982-present
- Lifetime Hockey, LLC Head Instructor, Minneapolis, Minnesota 2002 to present
- LA Hockey School - 2007 to present
- Instructor at numerous clinics outside of Red Deer, AB Alberta Amateur Coaching Clinics
Tom also had significant playing experience:
- Major Junior, Medicine Hat Tigers, Medicine Hat, AB 1973-77
- Intermediate ‘A’ Hockey, AB 1984-87
Tom's coaching philosophy is to teach creativity and practicality together. He believes students should learn progressively and stretch beyond what they think they can accomplish. He is sensitive to the needs of the players - especially their skill level. Finally, above all, Tom thinks hockey need to be fun.
